• MOSCOW, RUSSIA TOUR
December, 2003
I have just returned from a successful tour of Moscow, Russia, the highlight of which was my December 18, 2003 performance at Tchaikovsky Concert Hall! This hallowed hall is the equivalent of our own Carnegie Hall and believe me, this woman from Benton Harbor, Michigan is still swooning with disbelief and gratitude at the honor of performing at that fabulous venue!

I am now available once again for bookings and have just released my own CD entitled Blackbird. This recording, (which was produced by Misha Piatigorsky), features 11 compositions including an original by Misha and I entitled "Je Me Souvien" ("I Remember.") Blackbird also includes "Monkery's the Blues," which was composed by Thelonious Monk with lyrics by Abbey Lincoln, (with whom I have the honor of appearing in the international award-winning documentary, "Jazzwomen: The Female Side of Jazz." Blackbird also contains a marvelous composition by the world-renowned tenor saxophonist and composer Billy Harper, entitled "If One Could Only See." I've had the great honor of working alongside this master on numerous occasions.

If you would like to receive a copy of Blackbird please contact me.

Have a wonderful New Year!
